Pellegrini future after season – Agent
Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent has said it is up to Roma to decide if they want the services of his client, insisting “at the end of the season we’ll evaluate the situation and see if Roma want him back or not.”
The Italian Under-21 international, who left the capital club for Sassuolo in the summer of 2015 for a fee reported to be in the region of €1.25 million has attracted a lot of attention, but the player has insisted his stay with the Neroverdi is quite right for his future.
Roma, who have an option to buy him for €8m at the end of the season, are interested in bringing the midfield player back to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome having graduated from the Giallorossi youth academy.
“At the end of the season we’ll evaluate the situation and see if Roma want him back or not,” agent Giampiero Pocetta told Retesport.
“Lorenzo has proved he is an important player, so it’s natural to think he wants to continue that growth process.
“His future will depend on the project and the opportunity to play regularly. I don’t expect anything from Roma, but the player has great potential and is proving that on the pitch.
“It’s no coincidence that he has received interest from many European clubs.”
The 20-year-old has scored eight goals with eight assists in 32 competitive games for Sassuolo this term, and has been capped seven times for Italy at Under-21 level, scoring three goals in the process.
