Nine players from Keighley Cougars and Fryston Warriors have been charged by the Rugby Football League (RFL) after a brawl during their Challenge Cup third round tie.
The league’s match review panel has been directed to review an amateur video footage which showed a number of fights breaking out.
Following the analysis, seven players from Fryston and two from Keighley were cited.
While Keighley’s Emmerson Whittel got his jaw broken, the club alleged Josh Lynam was also bitten on the ear.
The charges range from Grade A, which include a maximum penalty of one-match ban to Grade F where a player might get an eight-match ban or more.
The RFL says it has also launched an investigation to review the “events surrounding the fixture”.
