Anthony Davis is eyeing a re-union with DeMarcus Cousins and that is according to a report emanating from the media.
And as a result of that, the former has in the mean-time gone on to make a formal trade request.
That is to Golden State Warriors to allow Cousins make a return to New Orleans Pelicans as from next year.
And the demand is seemingly going to see the light of day from the part of the reigning NBA champions.
Cousins, meanwhile, had made a departure from the Pelicans earlier this summer to join the Warriors on a one-year contract.
And Warriors chief coach only on Sunday night announced they would not retain the centre on their pay-roll beyond 2019.
Kerr: ”This is a one-year deal”
“We made no bones about it when we signed him.” Kerr made the disclosure to a whole lot of media outlets during an interview session which he had on Sunday.
”This is a one-year deal and we are not going to have money to sign him next year.
“So, we would like to help him win a Championship and sign a great contract somewhere else, that’s the reality.” The manager explained further.
And Davis himself was also completely open about having the desire to see Cousins make a return to his side.
“He will be a free agent next year and hopefully, down the line, we can reconnect,” he said to reporters.
