According to a report, the Merseyside outfit reached a deal with the Ligue 1 side for Fekir earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, the Lyon forward has reportedly undergone his medical ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool in the summer.

And that is in-spite of the French Ligue 1 club insisting that the two parties have not reached an agreement.

The report is, however, in total contrast to comments which Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas has been making in recent times.

Liverpool on their own part are still very much hoping to rekindle a deal for Fekir this summer transfer window.

The Reds’ hopes of landing the Frenchman this summer have not completely gone down the drain, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, the summer switch of Fekir to the Premier League heavyweights is looking to be in jeopardy, according to reports.

That is aftermath of Lyon coming out with an official announcement suggesting that they have ended talks with the Reds.

And that is over the likely transfer of the Frenchman with the attacker likely to stay at the French side.

The deal for Fekir worth within the range of £60m now seems to be off the burner for sure, however.

And that is the latest development with Lyon reaching a decision to pull the plug at the very last minute.

The report says while a deal is not completely over, it is “highly unlikely” to go through in the summer.

Agent hints at possible Fekir Liverpool summer switch

The agent of Lyon attacker, Nabil Fekir has hinted at the possible switch of his client to Liverpool this summer.

Jean-Pierre Bernes has stated in very clear terms that the likely transfer of the player to Anfield could still happen.

Initial reports from the British press had issued suggestions that the Reds will pay about £60m for the attacking midfielder.

Bernes told La Chaine Info: “He did not sign because uh, it is not over! This is not the end of the story.” Fekir’s representative summed up.
