The West African country of Ghana have expressed having great deal of delight to host the 2023 All African Games.
And that is after the nation won the right to host the event in the year 2023.
Ghana have won the rights to host the 13th edition of the All African Games in 2023.
And that is after beating Egypt in the bidding process, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) has officially confirmed.
In a press statement which had the formal signature of Perry Okudzeto, the Deputy Minister of MOYS revealed his joy.
Okudzeto: “Ghanaian Government has delight to host 2023 All African Games
And he copied the same to the GNA Sports: “Government has delight” the country would host the Games in 2023.
“The monumental achievement had its declaration at the 3rd Specialized Technical Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports (STC-YCS) forum.
“That is of the African Union Commission Ministers’ session in Algiers, Algeria, on Thursday, October 25,” the official statement read.
“The Ministry believes that this is a unique opportunity to rewrite the scripts of Ghana sports for the next century.
“And the Ministry also has commitment to providing facilities for Ghana to host a successful tournament when the time comes.
“That is the situation as the continental sports event will hold in the trio of Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.”
Meanwhile, the Games would also serve as qualifiers for the various disciplines for the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
