Iniesta snubs £30M-a-year lucrative China offer

Barcelona skipper, Andres Iniesta has snubbed a lucrative offer in the region of £30M-a-year from a Chinese Super League club.

Valid and reliable reports emanating from the media revealed that the Spanish international turned down the stunning offer only recently.

The same reports have even gone ahead to suggest that Iniesta rejected the tempting package during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Barcelona legend has so far won 31 pieces of silverware in his illustrious and trophy-laden football playing career.

The Chinese Super League side made Iniesta the latest player among numerous others whom they have targeted in recent times.

That is simply as a result of the stupendous riches that all the Chinese clubs have to offer star players.

When Iniesta eventually retires from the game, he will be one of the greatest midfielders ever to grace the pitch.

The FIFA World Cup and twice European Nations Cup winner with Spain has so far played 618 matches for Barca.

Throughout his outings for the senior side of the Catalans across all competitions, Iniesta has always given his very best.

Furthermore, the 33-year-old Barca captain and legend has even gone ahead to firmly stamp his name into the footballing hall-of-fame.

Iniesta has won a spectacular number of 28 pieces of silverware in total during his time at the Nou Camp.

These trophies also include eight Spanish La Liga titles and four other Champions League crowns with the reigning league champions.

In addition to his great club career, Iniesta has played a total number of 111 international games for La Roja.

And with the Spanish national team, he has won the European Championship twice and the World Cup back in 2010.

However, Iniesta’s existing deal with Barcelona will run out in the summer of 2018, precisely in June of that year.

But it remains to be seen whether the midfielder and play-maker will eventually upend his signature on a new contract.

The uncertainty over Iniesta’s future appears to have now given a further boost to clubs in the Chinese Super League.

And according to reports coming from AS, Iniesta has rejected outrightly two very tempting offers from the Chinese Super League.

The Spanish media outlet suggests that one of those offers was in the region of £30million-a-year which is about £577,000-per-week.
