Reports emanating from Italy indicate Inter are lining up a bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur defensive duo of Kyle Walker and Toby Alderweireld.
The Nerazzurri have endured a hugely disappointing season after losing out on the top four and are on their way to crashing out completely from appearing in Europe next season.
Under-fire Stenao Pioli is looking at options to bolster and reinforce his defence of the new season in case Inter retain his services for another season at San Siro.
The Chinese owned club are also not willing to give up on the Roma duo of Kostas Manolas and Antonio Rudiger who have been heavily linked in the past.
Inter have also reportedly approached Lazio for their centre-back Stefan de Vrij, but no official bid has been made
While all that was going on, the Beneamata are also in the race to ensure they have numerous options from which they could chose at the end of the season, thus the addition of Walker and Alderweireld in the wishlist..
Belgian international Alderweireld is believed to have a release clause of €28m [£23.4m] in his Spurs contract, and super-rich Chinese owned Inter may not be unwilling to splash the sum with a view for a rebuilt defense.
Pochettino asks Inter to attend Spurs training ground
Meanwhile, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has asked Inter visit their training ground and meet with chairman Daniel Levy for any talks regarding sale of players.
“Speak with Daniel,” Pochettino smiled in his pre-Chelsea Press conference.
“Some clubs are interested in some players. It’s very clear they need to knock on the door of Daniel Levy.
“The players that will leave the club is always a club decision. All the players have contract for the next two or three years minimum and we are not worried.
“I invite the clubs who want players from Tottenham to visit the training ground and meet our chairman. Nobody has doubts about Toby, no.”
