Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has emerged as a top transfer target for Manchester City during the on-going summer window.
The Mancunians are presently making plans to tender a summer offer for the German star, according to valid media reports.
As a matter of fact, the reigning Premier League champions are preparing a bid in the region of £61m for Kroos.
And according to a concrete report emanating from Don Balon, the Citizens have made the player their number one target.
Kroos has clinched one La Liga title and three Champions League trophies since making a move to Madrid in 2014.
City, United go head-to-head for Kroos
The pair of Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly set to go head-to-head for Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos.
That is the latest development with the German ace having emerged as a summer transfer target for the two clubs.
Meanwhile, a few reports are suggesting United are set to rekindle their keen interest in landing the signature of Kroos.
And now, the Red Devils will reportedly table an improved offer the German international when the summer transfer window opens.
The 27-year-old Kroos almost made a move to the Old Trafford giants in the summer of 2013/14.
Back then, United’s boss, David Moyes stated that he had already reached an agreement with the German midfield battler.
However, Kroos eventually failed to team up with the Red Devils only for him to rather move to the Bernabeu.
According to reports emanating from The Independent, United will try again with an offer for Kroos ahead of next season.
And that is regardless of whether they finally succeed in pulling off a deal for Atletico Madrid striker, Antoine Griezmann.
The newspaper has, however, further gone ahead to disclose that Madrid sources are insisting that Kroos is not for “sale.”
And that the board of Los Blancos intends to outrightly turn down any offer for any of their star players.
Prior to his switch to the Bernabeu, Kroos spent seven seasons with the reigning champions of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich.
