Cheltenham Racecourse is an annual event and they welcome more than 50,000 spectators on Tuesday to mark the start of the annual Festival.

At the racecourse during the four-day period 12 months ago, over $3million was withdrawn at the racecourse as Don Cossack won the Gold Cup for trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey Bryan Cooper.

Also, the final day at Cheltenham racecourse feature race will be without injured big names Don Poli Thistlecrack, Faugheen and Annie Power, while retired Sprinter Sacre will also be absent.

The races officially begin today Tuesday, March 14 and will run until Friday, March 17.

The popular event is staged at Cheltenham Racecourse and will include seven races per day – 28 in total, with one major event – or Championship race – on each day.

Finally, Friday’s Gold Cup is the blue riband race and will run at 3.30pm on the final day. For individual race times check out the full schedule below.
