Real Madrid interim manager, Santiago Solari has said that he sees a big future ahead of young attacker, Vinicius Junior.
The 18-year-old made his first start ever for Madrid in their 4-0 routing of Melilla in the Copa del Rey.
And that was on Wednesday night, however, Vinicius failed to get on the scoresheet against the team from Segunda B.
But the teenage sensation impressed in a wide role and has now received plaudits from Los Blancos’ temporary boss, Solari.
“Vinicius has a big future ahead of him but he is very young,” Marca quotes Solari as saying.
“You have to remember he is only 18 and has just arrived into a new club.
“Also into a brand new country, a new playing style and a new way of living.
“He will continue to develop and mature into a very good player.
“And I am sure of it and everyone must show patience with him,” the Spanish tactician summed up.
Madrid agreed a deal to sign Vinicius for £38m when he was only at the tender age of 16.
In-spite of that, though, the Galacticos were unable to complete the transfer until the South American starlet clocked 18.
The deal went through this summer, however, and the youngster has played two La Liga games for Madrid this season.
Madrid £38m-worth Vinicius Jr. starts first senior game
Real Madrid teenage forward, Vinicius Junior has started his first ever senior game in the world of professional football.
The 16-year-old Vinicius was ecstatic as he made his first senior start of any kind in the game of football.
It is history that the future Madrid attacker has earned a spot in the starting line-up for a senior match.
That great feat happened in the life of the prolific striker for the first time in his career on Sunday.
Vinicius has gone ahead to put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement to join Madrid when he clocks 18.
And that is the case with the La Liga and European champions having spent £38m to get him from Flamengo.
The teenage centre-forward had played just 17 minutes of senior football before his club’s match.
But the soon to be Los Blancos player started for Flamengo in their Serie A match against Avai.
Vinicius is on course to officially be a Madrid player as from next year and that is precisely July, 2018.
But the starlet is surely going to continue playing his club football at Brazil’s Flamengo for another year after that.
And that is set to be the situation with Vinicius before he finally completes the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Vinicius actually won the award as the best player of the South American Under-17s tournament earlier during the year 2017.
The young and prolific striker had gone ahead to score seven goals to help Brazil to a record twelfth trophy.
