Spurs are, meanwhile, at this very point in time in the market for a deputy number nine to first-choice, Kane.

Pochettino not happy with Llorente, Janssen form in front of goal

That particularly is the situation with current options, Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen both failing to impress manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham on their own part actually failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window which ended August.

But L’Est Republican has come out with a valid report suggesting the Lilywhites are already working on targets for January.

Bakambu has emerged as a viable option with the East African star having impressed since moving to the Chinese league.

And that was from Villarreal at the beginning of 2018, netting 19 goals in only 23 games for Beijing Guoan.

The 27-year-old also had a whole lot of transfer links with Spurs during his spell with Villarreal in La Liga.

And that was when the attacking ace scored 46 goals in 104 matches across all competitions for the Spanish team.

The North Londoners could now return for the player whom reports say he is open to joining the Premier League.
