Texas have officially made a grand return to the top five position in the latest rounds of AVCA volleyball rankings.
Despite Texas finding its way into the top five, Missouri and Florida have both fallen in the new AVCA poll.
Two of the SEC’s top sides have actually suffered in the brand new formal AVCA Division I women’s volleyball rankings.
Outside of that, however, there was not as much movement in the poll as there was in the last fortnight.
Illinois alongside three others earn NCAA installation
In the mean-time, though, Illinois alongside three others earned a very strong installation from the part of the NCAA.
That is aftermath of the NCAA having installed BYU, Stanford, Minnesota and Illinois as fantastic four in an early reveal.
Meanwhile, Ali Bastianelli and Illinois have held the fourth position in the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee’s top-10 reveal.
BYU were actually the recipient of a vote of confidence and that was the case earlier on Sunday night.
That was when the NCAA volleyball committee revealed its top 10 teams depending on matches they played until October 31.
The unbeaten Cougars had the trio of Stanford, Minnesota and Illinois as its immediate followers.
On the other hand, though, the top four teams will host the regional play, so those are all coveted spots.
But as it stands, the top 16 seeds are in line to play host in the first and second rounds.
