UMOSPOC rally gets massive sponsorship boost of sh35m

SBI Officials and the Prime Miniister of Bunyoro Kingdom, Andrew Byakutaga hand over the sh35m dummy cheque to UMOSPOC officials who are the organizers of the Kabalega rally

The Kabalega UMOSPOC Rally has gotten a massive sponsorship boost which is within the region of nothing less than sh35m.

In simple and plain language, the UMOSPOC rally has now landed a sh35m sponsorship deal from SBI International construction company.

The event is on the other hand set to take place as from September 6th until 9th in Hoima district.

Meanwhile, the package had its unveiling on Tuesday during a press briefing which held at the company’s offices in Hoima.

Bunyoro Kingdom Prime Minister, Andrew Byakutaga presided over the event while also promising to give his support to the rally.

“I know, sports especially motorsport, comes with a lot of opportunities in the area.

“And we as a Kingdom shall fully throw our weight behind UMOSPOC and FMU every year,” Byakutaga said on Tuesday.

“We also request the business community to emulate SBI and support this event so that it grows bigger.

“And also for it to grow much better annually so that they can also reap big from it,” he added.

Kisseka vows to continue to lend support to Kabalega rally

SBI manager, Daniel Kisseka also made a vow to continue to lend his support to the Kabalega rally.

And he also urged the organizers of the rally to always observe safety and protect the environment during the event.

“We have a commitment to continue the sport of the Kabalega rally as one way of giving back to the community.

“And we call upon the residents to take advantage of this rally and benefit from it,” Kisseka said.

FMU President, Dusman Okee further went on to applaud SBI and Bunyoro Kingdom for their massive support to the event.

He also beckoned on the people of Bunyoro to be cautious of their safety and stay away from the rally cars.

The edition of the Kabalega rally is the second last event on the National Rally Championship calendar.
