Vinales who was second in qualifying crossed the line more than 1.5 seconds ahead of Andrea Iannone in the final.

And that was the case with Andrea Dovizioso finishing in the third position in the grand finale.

Champion, Marc Marquez had actually made a start on pole but he had no choice but to forcefully retire.

And that was in the wake of Marquez having had a high-speed collision with Johann Zarco on lap six.

Meanwhile, British star, Cal Crutchlow has had surgery after breaking his ankle in the second practice which held on Friday.

Crutchlow will now have his replacement in test rider, Stefan Bradl at next weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix.

In-spite of that, though, the Briton remarkably eyed a comeback in the final race of the season in Valencia.

And that is very much set to be on 18 November of this very year.

Haro said: “Crutchlow wants to be in Valencia”

LCR Honda’s Oscar Haro said: “He wants to be in Valencia and he is already thinking of riding there.

“You know how these guys are, especially Cal, he is a pitbull and he is very keen to get back.

“And that is simply due to the fact that he wants to defend the Independent riders title.

“It was a hard fall and it is quite a complicated operation, he has broken the tibia and the malleolus.

“Surely, when they operate on him, it will cause further injury to the ligaments and tendons.

“And so as a result of that, we will have no other choice but to wait and see.

“I think it will have a whole lot of complications for him to be in Valencia.

“And we should be thinking about the Jerez test to test the new 2019 bike.

“We should also think about 2019 because this year is now filled with various issues.” He summed up.
