RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner has admitted to having a keen interest in earning a switch to the Premier League.
The German who joined from Stuttgart in 2016 has netted 16 times in 29 games across all competitions this season.
Despite his good run of form for the German Bundesliga side, the attacker is, however, to making a departure soon.
The 21-year-old says he does not want to tie himself down when it comes to looking for fresh challenges abroad.
“Talking of Germany, it would be a lie to say that you would not like to play for Bayern Munich.”
Werner made the disclosure to top media outlet, Sport1 during a short interview session which he granted earlier on Sunday.
“It would also be a lie to say in England, you wouldn’t like playing for Manchester United or Manchester City.
“And in Spain, you would be lying to say you would not like to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“There are great clubs in every league, however, Italy or France would not be my leagues but the other three.
“I believe there are many clubs you would like to play for, so I don’t want to tie myself down.” The forward summed up.
Madrid to battle Liverpool for Werner
Real Madrid are reportedly set to go into battle with Liverpool for the services of RB Leipzig forward, Timo Werner.
A few reports has emerged suggesting that Los Blancos have actually been keeping a close watch on the German international.
The same report has dropped a hint that it is in a bid for the Galacticos to sign him soon.
As a matter of fact, Madrid are eager to land the signature of Werner once the winter transfer window opens.
And that same window is set to open for another round of some very serious transfer transactions come January, 2018.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Werner has also had numerous transfer links with a move to Liverpool in the last few weeks.
But the Merseyside outfit have already done a major transfer business with the Bundesliga club in the summer transfer window.
And that is by the two clubs agreeing a deal to purchase the services of midfielder, Naby Keita next summer.
Werner is, however, also a top transfer option on Liverpool gaffer, Jurgen Klopp’s list for the next winter transfer window.
But according to a valid report emanating from Sport 1, Madrid have shown a keen interest in the German star.
Meanwhile, Werner caught the eye of football fans by finishing the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia as the highest goal-scorer.
Any potential suitor could, however, hit a stumbling block, though, as Leipzig are keen on retaining Werner for quite long.
The German club are reportedly reluctant to sell Werner because of the fact that they have allowed Keita to depart.
Werner, meanwhile, made a switch to Leipzig from yet another club in the Bundesliga, Stuttgart in the summer of 2016.
