UFC president, Dana White wants the body to play host to the bout between both Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Boxer, Mayweather should step into the octagon to clash with Nurmagomedov in a “real fight”, that is according to White.
American boxer, Mayweather is allegedly demanding a nine-figure payday to go into the ring and fight with UFC star, Nurmagomedov.
Meanwhile, the pair of Nurmagomedov and Mayweather have both handed out defeat to UFC fighter, Conor McGregor in recent times.
The 41-year-old Mayweather has now told yet another UFC fighter and the latest champion, Nurmagomedov to “come into my world”.
And that he should make a bout happen, believing he will earn him much more than his fight with McGregor.
Mayweather defeated McGregor in August of the year 2017 in a fight which generated above £450m and earned him £210m.
Nurmagomedov on the back of beating the Irishman on his return to UFC called out Mayweather himself, asking for a fight.
But White who had initially dismissed Mayweather-Nurmagomedov talk wants to see the fight hold in a mixed martial arts arena.
“Listen, if Mayweather wants to fight, come fight but you will have to fight in the UFC,” White informed TMZ.
“We are not boxing again and that is because we did that once but that is over.
“You want to fight? I am telling you to come and fight but it has to be a real fight.” The UFC head summed up.
UFC president urging fans to ignore Mayweather-Nurmagomedov talk
UFC president, Dana White is urging fans to ignore any talk of a bout between Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
White has further made a disclosure that Mayweather has not made contact with UFC about a boxing match with Nurmagomedov.
That is the latest development despite both camps hyping the possibility according to ESPN in a website post on Friday.
“Do not pay attention to it because the Mayweather team has not approached us at all,” White said.
“Khabib is under contract with the UFC and we have also not talked to anybody from the Mayweather team.
“Floyd is very good at getting his name back out there when he is ready,” the UFC boss explained.
